Galata semtinde bulunan ve M.S.6 yüzyılda inşa edilen Galata Kulesi, fener kulesi, zindan, yangın gözetleme, rasathane gibi çeşitli amaçlarla kullanılmıştır. Günümüzde ise restoran ve seyir kulesi olarak hizmet vermektedir

Galata Tower is located in the Galata district of Istanbul. It was built in the 6th century. Galata Tower has been used for various purposes such as a lighthouse tower, dungeon, fire watch and observatory. Today, it serves as a restaurant and observation tower.
