Borodino Savaşı, 7 Eylül 1812 tarihinde Rus ve Fransız orduları arasında Moskova Şehrinin hemen dışında gerçekleşmiştir. Gravürün sağ ön tarafında, Napolyon ve Napolyon'un meşhur beyaz atı Marengo bulunmaktadır. Napolyon Ordusunun Süvarilerinin Komutanı Mareşal Murat'da sol tarafta bulunmaktadır. Üst tarafta ise, Napolyon'un ordusu Komutan Kutuzov'un Rus ordusuna saldırmaktadır.
The Battle of Borodino took place on 7 September 1812 between the Russian and French armies just outside Moscow City. Napoleon and Napoleon's famous white horse, Marengo, is depicted on the right front of the engraving. Marshal Murat, the Commander of the Cavalry of the Napoleonic Army, is on the left. On the upper side, Napoleon's army attacks Commander Kutuzov's Russian army.
