Naillac Tower was built by Philibert de Naillac in 1421 at the entrance to the harbour. The 46-metre-high square-shaped tower was used as a watchtower. It was seriously damaged in two earthquakes in the 19th century and was demolished because it could fall on ships in the harbour.
