The Bethesda pool is believed to be the place where Jesus Christ healed the paralyzed man mentioned in the Gospel of John. The pool is located in the Muslim quarter of Jerusalem. The catholic church of St.Anne was built by the crusader army in 1138 at the birthplace of the mother of Mary, Hannah (Anne). The St. Anne church is located behind the Bethesda Pool.
