After the afternoon prayer on the arife (eve of Ramadan Feast or Sacrificial Feast), the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire would sit on the throne called the 'Erife Throne' placed in the the Sultan's audience hall and congratulate the palace and the enderun people until the evening prayer.
