Bey Palace or Bursa Palace was built by Orhan Bey, who conquered Bursa in 1326, on the site of the Byzantine Tekfur Palace in the Tophane district of Bursa. It was the first palace from which the Ottoman Empire was governed as a state. Today, there is no remnant of the palace, except for one wall, which was used until the beginning of the 15th century.
