Description

Located in the Tophane district of Istanbul, the Nusretiye (Tophane) Mosque was built by architect Krikor Balyan in 1826 upon the order of Sultan Mahmud II. Tophane Clock Tower, located on the seaside southwest of Nusretiye Mosque, was built together with Tophane Pavilion by Sultan Abdülmecid between 1847-1848.
