The Bahriye Divanhanesi (Ministry of Navy), which was built by Sultan Mahmud II in 1834, located on the banks of Halic (Golden Horn) in Kaşımpaşa, is depicted in the engraving.The Naval Divanhanesi (Ministry of Navy) building illustrated in the engraving was demolished during the reign of Sultan Abdulaziz and today's Northern Sea Field Command building was built in its place. In engraving, the building on the hill was built as a Naval School. Today it is used as Kasımpasa Naval Hospital.
