The sacred relics consisting of material memories belonging to the Prophet Muhammad, the Kaaba and some companions of Prophet Muhammad are preserved in Masjid (Hirka-i Saadet Office) in Topkapı Palace. The sacred relics were brought to Istanbul after Yavuz Sultan Selim conquered Egypt in 1517, and some of them were collected from different Islamic countries. The tooth broken in Uhud, the cardigan, the cup, the banner, the bow and the swords of the Prophet Muhammad are among the sacred relics.
