Description

It is one of the most important of the Western Anatolian coastal cities. The ancient city of Knidos, which has been a settlement since the 7th century BC, has become very rich in the 4th century BC due to its geographical location. It has also advanced considerably in science, architecture and art. It was completely destroyed after 7th century AD due to Arab raids, pirate attacks and major earthquakes.
