The Bahçekoy Aqueduct (Aqueduct of Sultan Mahmut I), located in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, was built by Mimar Sinan in 1731 by Sultan Mahmut I. The length of the aqueduct is 409 meters, its height is 27 meters, its width is 3.25 meters and 21 eyes. Water was supplied to Beyoglu, Beşiktas, Ortakoy, Galata, Kurucesme, Arnavutkoy and Kasımpasa from this aqueduct during the period it was built.
