Description

The Vienna Conference of March–June 1855 was an important diplomatic attempt to end the Crimean War, but it failed. Convened approximately one year before the Paris Peace Conference, this conference was shaped by Austria's leadership inviting the warring parties to negotiations, but it was unsuccessful due to Russia's resistance and the inability to reconcile demands, and the war continued for another year.
