Description

The aqueduct is located in Kermerburgaz in Eyüp district of Istanbul. It was built between 1554 and 1564 by Mimar Sinan, using the Byzantine period infrastructures. The aqueduct is named as Egri Kemer because it was built at an angle of 90 degrees. The names Hollow Belt, Broken Belt or Perforated Belt are also used.
