Gate Of The Axe (Baltalı Kapi) is located in Milas District of Mugla. Gate Of The Axe (Baltalı Kapi), which was built in the 2nd century AD and takes its name from the double-sided ax relief on the keystone, is the entrance gate of the Ancient City of Mylasa. Also today, It is the northern gate of Milas. In addition as depicted in the engraving, Gate Of The Axe (Baltalı Kapi) is intertwined with arches carrying water to Milas.
