The Dome of the Prayer and Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Mosque, located in the Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Islamic social complex (Kulliye), was built by Mimar Sinan in 1569 by Sultan Selim II. The Dua Dome is a 9x9 meter dome that is in the middle of the bazaar inside the Kulliye and provides entrance to the caravanserai and mosque. In the past, when the bazaar tradesmen started to work, they gathered under this dome and prayed, and the guardian of the caravanserai saw the visitors staying in the caravanserai under this dome. For this reason, this place was called the Dome of the Prayer.
