Description

Sepulchres (Rock Tombs) are located 100 meters from the entrance of Titus Tunnel in the ancient city of Seleukeia in Pieria in Hatay Samandağ district. The most interesting of the many tombs in the caves carved into the rocks are the Besikli Cave (Cradle Cave) tombs belonging to the Roman period. There are 12 graves carved into the rock inside the cemetery. Although there is no exact information about who the tombs belong, it is thought to belong to the Roman rulers and the notables of the ancient city of Seleucia Pieria.
