The Aizanoi Zeus Temple is located in the ancient city of Aizanoi, located on the plateau of Örencik Plain within the borders of Çavdarhisar district of Kütahya. The ancient city of Aizanoi was the main settlement center of the Aizanitis people who lived under the auspices of ancient Phrygia. The Zeus Temple, which is the main sacred area of the city, was built in the 2nd century AD. The temple, which was built with the material brought from the marble quarries near Aizanoi, was built on a podium measuring 53x35m. It has a pseudodipteros plan, Ionic order, and 8x15 columns. Each of the columns is a single piece, 9.30 m tall. The Aizanoi Zeus Temple is the best preserved temple in Anatolia and the most intact temple built in the world in the name of Zeus that has survived to the present day.
