Description

There are many different information about Tantalus, both real and mythological. The most accepted historical one is that Tantalus ruled a kingdom connected to Phrygia or Lydia in the region between Manisa Spil Mountain and Izmir in the 8th century BC (he is also accepted as the King of Izmir). It is accepted that the tomb of King Tantalus is on the slopes of Bayraklı in Izmir.
