The Simena Ancient Theatre is located in the ancient city of Simena, today called Kaleköy, between Kaş and Demre in Antalya province and just across from Kekova Island. The ancient city of Simena, which is a strategic point, is a small Lycian coastal city and has been inhabited from the 4th century BC to the present day. The Simena Theatre is located inside the Simena Castle and was carved into the main rock during the Hellenistic period. It has 7 rows of seats and a capacity of 300 people and is probably one of the oldest theatres in Lycia.
