The tombs depicted in the engraving are in the Ancient City of Antiphellos, one of the important port cities of the Lycian civilization and founded on the Kaş district of Antalya. In the ancient city, there are rock-cut tombs with Gothic style or Lycian inscriptions on the hill and Lycian-type sarcophagi scattered all around the Kaş district. The rock tomb pictured on the left in the engraving is a tomb with a Lycian inscription on the second floor, built in the form of a Gothic arch. When the tomb was used again years later by a woman named Claudia Recepta, a Latin inscription was added to the tomb. The sarcophagus on the right of the engraving is thought to be from the period when Kaş was occupied by the Ptolemies.
