Thomas More was accused of treason and imprisoned in the Tower of London for not accepting King Henry VIII as the supreme head of the Church. Thomas More executed at Tower Hill on July 6, 1535. This engraving depicts Thomas More being visited by his daughter Margaret Roper while in the Tower of London.
