This engraved likeness portrays Isaac Fuller (1606-1672), an English Baroque painter whose work reveals strong influence from Peter Paul Rubens. Fuller’s dynamic compositions and expressive brushwork distinguished him within English painting of the mid-seventeenth century. The portrait preserves the memory of an artist whose reputation later declined but remains historically significant.
