This engraving presents a panoramic view of Sevastopol Harbor from the north bank looking south, from the viewpoint of the harbor hill, on June 22, 1855. William Simpson, who painted this engraving, was a painter and engraver sent to the war zones for The Illustrated London News during the Crimean War.
